The Wicks Group is pleased to announce that Rachel Winard has joined the firm as Counsel, bringing more than 15 years of experience in federal, state, and local statutory and regulatory analysis; land use, zoning, and environmental law; and consumer product compliance to the firm’s regulatory practice and related consulting matters.
Mx. Winard will offer TWG clients guidance on navigating complex statutory requirements, compliance frameworks, and risk management challenges. Mx. Winard will draw on deep experience in regulatory analysis and compliance, product import and export requirements, hazardous materials packaging and shipping, conflict resolution, statutory and regulatory review, and policy and procedural development.
Prior to joining The Wicks Group, Mx. Winard served as a Land Use Associate at two prominent New York City law firms, advising clients on compliance with regulatory requirements for real estate development. Mx. Winard’s work also included guiding clients through mandated environmental impact reviews, remediation obligations, zoning and land use permitting air rights transfers, 421(a) tax abatement programs, and related regulatory processes.
Mx. Winard also served for more than a decade on the Board of Trustees for a cooperative residential complex in Brooklyn, New York, advising on a wide range of operational and governance matters, including zoning, building code and fire code compliance, insurance and liability issues, and mediated shareholder matters.
