Glenn Wicks is the founder and President of The Wicks Group Consulting. Glenn has more than 15 years of experience in providing consulting services to clients in the aviation sector, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), foreign civil aviation authorities (CAAs), air carriers, airports and airport management companies, repair stations, and others. Glenn established TWG Consulting to deliver targeted technical assistance to aviation clients, including an expedited project methodology and turnkey solution for countries needing to demonstrate compliance with international civil aviation safety oversight and monitoring standards.

In addition to founding the firm, Glenn has personally directed a wide range of consulting projects to assist clients with making policy, management, operations, or documentation improvements. He has extensive international consulting experience, with a proven ability to translate international standards and recommended practices into policies and procedures that work well for a country’s civil aviation system. He also has substantial experience advising foreign airlines on potential US business partners and other aspects of start-up planning.

Representative Experience

  • Directing a successful US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA)-funded effort to assist India with regaining Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) Category 1 (compliant) status; personally recognized by US Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx and USTDA Director Leocadia Zak for the project’s success
  • Directing IASA audit preparation projects for the Azerbaijan, Cabo Verde, Trinidad, and Tobago, and Ukraine civil aviation authorities, all of which resulted in an IASA Category 1 rating
  • Directing projects to assist foreign air carriers and domestic and foreign maintenance and repair stations with US and foreign government certification, including managing the preparation of application packages and supporting technical manuals and supporting demonstrations and inspections
  • Leading projects to assist the FAA with development of new policy and procedure documents, including a revised FAA Order 8900.2 General Aviation Airman Designee Handbook, a revised FAA Order 4040.9D Aircraft Management Program, and several procedural and technical manuals for the Flight Standards Flight Program Office
  • Identifying potential business partners for foreign air carriers considering US operations and providing business development strategies for foreign air carriers
  • Directing projects to identify and evaluate strategies for developing a business aviation hub at a secondary airport for the civil aviation authorities of Singapore and Trinidad and Tobago
  • Assisting airport authorities with developing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and Airport Concessionaire Disadvantaged Business Enterprise plans to support compliance with federal grant assurance requirements
